Green Chile Sauce Vegan
Preparation: 30 minutes
Makes about 3/4 cup
- 4 Green chiles
- 3 green (spring) onions
- canola oil
- 2 tsp lime juice
- 1/2 tsp fresh coriander, minced
- Heat the broiler until very hot.
- Chop the chiles in half, lengthwise.
- Lightly coat the chiles and green onions in canola oil.
- Grill the chiles on all sides until black and blistered.
- Grill the green onions on all sides, until just charred.
- Remove and allow to cool for 15 minutes.
- Peel the chiles, reserving any liquid.
- Chop the chiles and green onions.
- Mix in the remainder of the ingredients.
- Set aside for at least 15 minutes to allow flavours to blend.
