Celebration Cheese Ball Lacto
Preparation: 15 minutes plus chilling
Mkes 2 cups
- 1/4 c simulated bacon bits (or to taste)
- 2 c grated orange cheddar cheese (old is best)
- 1 c. cream cheese, softened
- 1 c. sharp cheddar cheese (cold pack)
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1/4 c chopped parsley
- Combine together the bacon bits and cheeses.
- Mold mixture into a ball (Add additional liquid or olive oil if necessary).
- Combine nuts and parsley.
- Roll ball in the nuts and parsley.
- Refrigerate overnight or up to 3 days.
- Remove from fridge one hour before serving.
Note: If cold pack cheese in unavailable, use simple orange cheddar.
Substitute bacon bits with sundried tomatoes.Serve with bread or crackers.
